BOSSA Ltd. trading company was established in 1999. Its core business is domestic and foreign trade in glass products. The company is based in the region of leading glass manufacturers represented by the company. Main focus is on hand-made decorated and non-decorated glass, crystal chandeliers and traditional Czech glass fashion jewellery, as well as semi-products for fashion jewellery and glass.
Current glass production continues in the glass tradition in Bohemia. The first records of glassworks in our territory date from the 14th century. Until the 13th century glass had been rare. Later on its production went up as various shapes and hues were created. In the 14th century first higher goblets with plastic patterns occurred. Conditions for the making of glass in Bohemia were historically extremely favourable. The oldest written record of trading in glass comes from as early as 1376. Medieval glassmakers were not only skilful craftsmen, but outstanding designers and artists as well.
Manufacturing of glass mouth-blown lamp beads is important too. These beads present basis for traditional Czech costume jewellery, which is highly valued worldwide.
